Backwash water reuse system DEYA Corinth

In the fall of 2024, our company YPAEN IKE, proceeded with the supply and installation of a system for treating and reusing the water used to wash the Corinth water refinery of D.E.Y.A. Corinth.

For the washing of the said refinery, 200 cubic meters of water are consumed per wash, which is now stored in a new tank and then forwarded to the treatment system, where the appropriate chemicals are dosed to achieve the desired flocculation and coagulation. The water then passes through a double in-line filtration system, consisting of two multimedia pressure filters for its clarification. Finally, the water returns to the inlet of the refinery to be converted into drinking water.

This project was carried out within the framework of the Corinth Water Replenishment program, implemented by CROWN HOLDINGS, INC in Greece in collaboration with the International Organization Global Water Partnership – Mediterranean (GWP-Med).
